Post-Backpacking: Signs you're having a hard time adjusting to normal life

March 18, 2015
  1. carrying toilet paper with you everywhere
  2. secuestering toilet paper from the stall if it does have toilet paper
  3. washing your underwear in the shower
  4. wearing flip-flops in said shower
  5. being really excited about having hot water
  6. being really, really happy you have 24/7 access to a bathroom...like really happy (it's super stressful not knowing where you can pee next in case you're wondering)
  7. rolling all of your clothes, even though you have a dresser to put them in
  8. or ignoring the fact you now have a dresser and leaving them in a pile around your bag
  9. being surprised your clothes are washing-machine-level-clean...and smell good
  10. getting really really excited about clean white sheets that aren't worn through
  11. being excited about not sleeping on a top bunk-bed...knowing that bunk beds aren't limited to two levels
  12. refusing to buy normal size toiletries
  13. keeping your fold-it travel toothbrush
  14. constantly thinking about the amount of clothes you have...and if it will fit in a pack for the next trip
